Resource Update: January Food Pantry Calendar

New to visiting a food pantry? Here are some tips!
If you’re a first time pantry visitor, I suggest visiting 45 minutes or so after the pantry has begun. They tend to have a rush at the start, and you’ll have a much more personal experience if you go a little bit later. The folks that will be helping you will have a form that you’ll initial stating that you need food assistance and meet income eligibility, but no documents or proof is needed. They serve everyone, regardless of their situation, so please don’t be intimidated by this. You can also call ahead and speak with the pantry manager. All of the pantries in Lincoln County are managed by volunteers, so you may have to leave a message, but someone will get back to you soon and explain the lay-of-the-land, and if they’d like you to bring reusable bags or boxes.
